Calcium Silicate Non-Ceramics (Marinite®)
This non-asbestos inorganic board is ideal for conveying and controlling the flow of molten aluminum and other non ferrous metals up to 1350°F (732°C). The unique board properties of Marinite® prevent metals from adhering them, even when they cool and solidify. Since Marinite® has a low heat capacity, preheating is not required. Marinite® is also available as a high density millboard insulation. Applications Include: It is widely used for trough linings, spouts, floats, stoppers, dams, baffles and basins, transition plates and hot top rings, fire protection, high temperature gaskets and seals, and furnace hot face linings.
